BREMER COUNTY CONSERVATION
Seasonal Naturalist/Park Worker

The Bremer County Conservation Board is seeking candidates to fill 1 Seasonal Naturalist/Park Maintenance position.  The selected individual will assist in a variety of tasks associated with the outdoor education program and management of parks, wildlife areas, and trails managed by the Bremer County Conservation Board.  This position will require some weekend, night, and holiday hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with a Class D chauffeurs license preferred.  Successful candidate shall pass background check as well as a physical and drug screen.  Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions.  Ability to educate youth and adults in a variety of conservation and outdoor recreation related activities, as well as operate and assist with the maintenance of various outdoor equipment.

DESCRIPTION:  Seasonal position under general supervision of the Director and direct supervision of the Naturalists and/or Natural Resource Technicians.  Assists the Naturalists with outdoor programming which include: summer library programs, Picnic in the Park programs, fly fishing workshops, Outdoor Explorers, field trips, campground programs, and social media. Performs mowing, weed eating, cleaning of facilities, facility and park maintenance, public relations, interaction with park visitors and other jobs as assigned.  Preferred experience with canoeing, kayaking, fishing, biking, archery, and operating equipment such as mowers, trimmers, skid loaders, tractors, chain saws and hand tools.  Will work a non- standard work week with some night, weekend and holiday work required.  This is a seasonal position running from approximately May to September and will not exceed 40 hours per week.

WAGE: $9.50-$10.00/hr. 40 hours per week.

The Bremer County Conservation Board is seeking candidates to fill 2 Seasonal Park Maintenance positions.  The selected individuals will assist in a variety of tasks associated with the management of parks, wildlife areas, and trails managed by the Bremer County Conservation Board.  This position will require some weekend, night, and holiday hours.

The Bremer County Community Based Services Department is seeking applicants for the positions of Residential Specialist I & II.  The Residential Specialist I & II provides support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, and mental illnesses within the community.
