Personal Biographies

Kasey Earl Wadding was first elected Bremer
County Attorney in 1998 and took office in January, 1999.
He was re-elected in 2002 and stands for re-election every
four years.
Mr. Wadding's past education and experience include the
following:

Earned his Bachelor of Science Degree
from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota in
1984.

Earned his J.D. Degree from Drake
University Law School in 1990.

Mr. Wadding began his career as a
Prosecutor and Assistant County Attorney for the Black Hawk
County Attorney's Office in Waterloo, Iowa in 1991 where
he served for eight years before being elected to the
Bremer County Attorney's Office in 1998.

Norma Westendorf is the Crime
Victim Witness Coordinator in Bremer County and has enjoyed
that position since 2000. She earned her Bachelors
Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in
Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations in 2000.
Ms. Westendorf has also earned Certification with the Iowa
Organization for Victim Assistance in 2004.
Her duties include:

Informing victims of their rights.

Registration of victims for notification
of the prosecution process.

Providing information to victims about
the Crime Victim Compensation Program.

Referrals to appropriate support
agencies.
-
Assistance in trial preparation with
victims and witnesses.
-
Help with determining restitution for
damages inflicted upon victims or their property.
Ms. Westendorf prides herself in being
available to the public to explain these rights in detail.

Deb Wurzer is the Legal
Secretary here in Bremer County, Iowa and performs many
functions including clerical, secretarial, and
administrative support in maintaining the office operations.
Ms. Wurzer is often the first contact individuals have with
the Bremer County Attorney's Office and provides a friendly
and inviting atmosphere for those who do contact this
office.
