CodeRED
September 9, 2008
The Bremer-Waverly Law Enforcement Board (BWLEB) is pleased to announce it has contracted with Emergency Communications Network, Inc., of Ormond Beach, Florida, for its "CodeRED" high-speed telephone emergency notification services for this upcoming year. The CodeRED Emergency Notification System is a high volume - high speed Communication Service available for mass Emergency Notifications.
CodeRED employs a one-of-a-kind Internet mapping capability for geographic targeting of calls, coupled with a high speed telephone calling system capable of delivering customized pre-recorded emergency messages directly to homes and businesses at the rate of up to 60,000 calls per hour.
This service is available for all communities and residents within Bremer County. The Community Notification Enrollment link allows your residents to supply their own information. Not only does this ensure a more accurate database, but also allows residents to input an unlisted number, their cell phone number or any other secondary phone numbers. This will create a more robust database for you to use and reach more of your residents with essential emergency information.
Here is the link to your Community Notification Enrollment (CNE).
It is important that this link is prominently displayed on your website. We recommend putting the link directly on your homepage. If your community does not have a website then your residents should be encouraged to visit the Bremer County website.
Sheriff Dewey Hildebrandt and Chief Richard Pursell will be responsible for reviewing pending data and adding it to the current database. The BWLEB will send out a press release to the public and news media on Monday September 15, 2008. You are encouraged to have your community link in place by that time.
Questions may be directed to Sheriff Hildebrandt @ 319-352-5400 ext. 100 or Chief Pursell @ 319-352-5400 ext. 200.
