The Bremer County Health Department offers the following services:

Diabetes Prevention Program
A free year-long lifestyle and weight loss program for individuals who are prediabetic.  A new program beginnings every January and July.

Immunizations

Foot Clinics
Foot clinics are available throughout Bremer County to individuals 55 years of age or older and/or individuals who are significantly disabled and unable to manage their own foot care.

The following services are available to Bremer County residents from partnering agencies:

I-Smile
The I-Smile ™ is a statewide program that helps connect Iowa's children with dental care. The program works to improve the dental care system for families. All across Iowa, dental hygienists serve as I-Smile™ coordinators to assist children and be a resource for physicians, schools, and dental offices.

Allen Women's Health
  • Family Planning Services- Publicly funded services include physical examinations, routine laboratory work, cancer screening, testing for sexually transmitted infections, plus more!
  • Maternal Health Services- Education and enhanced services for high risk patients.
  • Together for Youth- The Cedar Valley's adolescent pregnancy prevention and teen parent support network that provides resources for teens, parents and professionals.
Together 4 Families
A community collaborative that has an overall focus on meeting the needs of families with children living in Bremer, Butler, Franklin and Grundy Counties.  For more information call (319) 267-2594.
