The Waverly-Shell Rock School Revenue Purpose Statement Special Election
will be held as a Vote Center on Tuesday, March 3, 2020
in Waverly City Hall, 200 1st St NE, Waverly.
The poll  will be open for voting from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

All electors of Bremer and Black Hawk Counties who live within the Waverly-Shell Rock Community School District are eligible to vote in the Special Election.

Absentee Ballot Request Form

In person: Absentee voting is available 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday in the Bremer County Courthouse, 415 E Bremer Ave, Waverly, IA with the exception of Friday, February 21st and Monday, March 2nd when voting in person will be available 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 

By mail: Absentee ballot request forms must be received in the Auditor’s Office by 5:00 PM, Friday, February 21st in order for an absentee ballot to be mailed.

 

VOTER REGISTRATION:

Voter Registration Form

The deadline to pre-register to vote for the Denver School General Obligation Bond Special Election is 5:00 PM Friday, February 21st. This applies to registration in person (including at driver’s license stations or agencies) or by mail. Mailed registration forms postmarked on or before Monday, February 17th are considered on time.

After February 21st, a person may register to vote by showing proof of identity and proof of residency and must cast their ballot at that time.  This maybe done at either the polling place on Election Day  OR in the Auditor’s Office prior to Election Day.

 

**Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot.
**Pre-registered voters changing precincts must provide an approved form of identification and provide proof of residence.

**A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence if required) 
1) May have their identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct. The attester must provide an approved form of identification.
2) Prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration documents, or
3) Cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the County Auditor’s office by NOON on Monday, March 9, 2020.
